Graphic Design Assistant | Job Opportunity

Gladstone News and Elevate Media have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Graphic Design Assistant to join our funky CBD office.


To be successful in this position you MUST have:

  • Proven Graphic Design experience
  • High-level proficiency with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop)
  • Experience designing across both digital and print
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Must have solid attention to detail
  • Must have a PASSION for creating modern, unique content that stands out of the ordinary
  • Website and photography knowledge are preferred but not essential
  • Be eligible for Back to Work Funding


  • Meet with clients to interpret and create concepts based on their requirements
  • Determine strategies to deliver a clear message to a particular target audience
  • Study design briefs and determine requirements
  • Conceptualise visuals based on requirements
  • Prepare layouts or mock-ups of design using illustration, text, photography, colour and computer-generated imagery
  • Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software
  • Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic
  • Work with copywriters and creative director to produce a final design
  • Amend designs after feedback
  • Preparing designs for digital and print publication
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
