An exciting position has recently opened for a full-time graphic and web designer to join Elevate Media and Gladstone News.
We are looking for a creative and inspired individual who is a seasoned player and will be able to hit the ground running.
 
You will be working in a fast-paced environment and your role will involve designing a large range of print and online products for a diverse range of clients, including our fortnightly news publication.
 

Your main role will include, but is not limited to:

• Designing both print and online products
• Liaising with clients on job briefs and their individual requirements
• Assisting the Manager on client visits to understand customers’ expectations for website and graphic design briefs
• Social media updates and design
• Assisting the team in delivering client proposals
• Website build-outs and updates
 

Selection Criteria:

• Strong attention to detail – it’s a cliché but it’s so important in our industry
• Ability to think outside of the box, and generate fresh and innovative ideas that translate into quality artwork to meet a design brief
• The ability to work independently and as part of our wonderful team
• Excellent visual communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in a creative agency or as an in house designer
• Working knowledge of web and digital design systems
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle a large workload
• WordPress experience would be an advantage
 

Desirables:

• A tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in taking & interpreting design briefs from clients via meetings.
• Ability to produce GIFs or animations for social media.
• Familiarity with WordPress, Shopify and social media management (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Snapchat).
• Experience in photography & photo-editing.
• Strong understanding of your own design turnaround times.
